National Watermelon Day in San Tan Valley, Arizona

National Watermelon Day Forever Sabbatical

Celebrate National Watermelon Day with all things watermelon. Saturday, August 3rd, 2019 we celebrated National Watermelon Day in San Tan Valley. Encanterra Country Club Resort hosted this fun event on the hot summer day. Here are are a few activities that you can suggest to your city for next year’s National Watermelon Day.

Great music at an outdoor festival keeps moods upbeat. It can be great background music while people are sharing their latest vacation details. People can get up and grove to the sounds. When the song titled Cupid Shuffle came on 20 plus people got out of the pool or out of the lounge chairs to dance in the grass.

Games

Games help people to interact. Either they are participating in the game or filming their loved ones playing the game. Here are a few games that were played that I also recommend.

A hula hoop competition is a must. You can have winners for the number of hula hoops. Maybe the longest time hula hooping until it falls on the ground.

Multiple water balloon tosses are a great way to keep people cool off. The negative side is picking up the balloon trash. This game could be divided up by age groups as was today’s game. I was able to participate in the 12-year-olds and older division. My partner was a 7-year old that recruited me and she rocked the game.

Fun watermelon balloons can be hung everywhere at the location. One could mix it up with regular balloons too.

  7. This looks so fun. I love watermelon. We were down in NC a couple of weeks ago and they have the biggest, freshest melons you have ever seen. We would buy one and it would be gone the next day. I love watermelon in my salad too. Watermelon and feta is another favorite of mine.

  8. That is truly inspiring. Watermelon games, drinks, art…. who’da thunk right?
