“I’ve got gadgets and gizmos aplenty,” sings Ariel in The Little Mermaid Jr. Flooding my mind with fun memories from when I was a child. If you have not visited the Queen Creek Performing Arts Center yet and you are in town visiting, I recommend attending a show.
Queen Creek Performing Arts Center
The Queen Creek Performing Arts Center is located at 22149 E Ocotillo Rd, Queen Creek, Arizona 85142. The physicality hosts musicals, plays, and music groups. They even have camps and workshops for singers and actors.
The Theater
We loved the comfortable seats in this large theater. I was very excited to have the back row seats because I did not know how long the scenes are between the intermissions. Do you have to use the restroom as often as I do?
The Little Mermaid Jr.
Did you see Disney’s movie version of The Little Mermaid? I did and I watched it so many times that I knew all the words to the songs at one time in my life. Which is why I was so excited when we received the tickets to the play from a neighbor that was unable to attend last minute. The actors performed the songs just as I remembered them. This version was not just on the stage. The actors would sing and dance down the aisles giving the audience 360 degrees of entertainment.
The Cast
Over one hundred children made up the cast of this play. Can you imagine coordinating that many people, let alone children? They were magnificent. The singing and dancing talent was top notch. The acting was adorable. I would defiantly attend another musical from this children’s group.
