Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

(1) Shipping: The camera package arrived when promised and well-packaged. (2) About the package: It is a good price since it is less than the normal price of just the camera, but most items in the package were not useful to me. One battery (the one always supplied with the camera) was Sony. The other battery and the charger were not Sony. The case is sized for a large camera or one with extra lenses. I didn't need anything else from the package. (3) About the camera: I wanted a pocket-sized travel camera with a one-inch sensor, view finder (EVF), and decent telephoto (without changing lenses). That really limited my choices because pocket cameras typically have a small sensor and a lot of telephoto, trying to compete with cell phones. I chose the Sony over the Canon (with simpler menus, ND filter, and 5x zoom) and the Panasonic (15x zoom) because the Sony was the smallest and seemed to have the very latest technology. It has the easiest to use pop-up view-finder and reasonable telephoto (8x optical) I knew before purchase that the menus are complicated and deep -- much more than the typical person needs/wants for travel snaps. To understand the camera, I watched videos on Sony Alpha Lab, and I down-loaded both the short version of the Sony Manual (about 150 pages) and the Sony Help Guide (584 pages). The Help Guide is great. I sat at my computer going through the guide while clicking through the camera menus, finding the few things that I would actually use. If you only use the camera in AUTO or SCENE mode, you will still take great photos and won't need to understand the menus, but, unless you are already familiar with Sony, you will have at least some learning to do. For example, if you are in AUTO or SCENE, you can click the FN key (not Menu) to see the things you can control when in those settings. There are plenty of neat features, but you have to spend time with the manual to find them. Not willing to do that? There are plenty of other camera choices....just very few that are pocket-sized with one inch sensor and a EVF. I can't comment on the Network options as I always just pop my memory card into the computer or into a card reader. Bottom line: I recommend this camera if you want great photos and are willing to spend some time learning the camera.
