Selena Gomez Concert Arizona July 2016

I found myself surrounded by 10’s of 1,000’s of 11-year-old screaming girls. My niece received 4 tickets to see the Selena Gomez concert on Tuesday, July 5th, 2016 at the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, AZ.  She brought her mother (my amazing sister), one of her classroom friends, and she asked me to go and of course, I said yes.

Bahari, DNCE, Selena Gomez

A California girl group call Bahari opened the concert with great upbeat music to Photo 1

get everyone excited. Next on stage was the group call DNCE. Before they came on stage I did not know who they were. Then when they sang the “Cake by the Ocean” song, I thought, hey I know this song and danced along with the crowd. Next came Selena Gomez and she performed a great concert. Everyone around me was singing along. This was my niece’s first concert and she was so excited, that she was taking lots of photos and jumping around. The act had multiple stages and costume changes. The music was fun and the props were awesome. One prop they used in a few songs was the exercise ball. The dancers were running, rolling and jumping around the stage with them. I was impressed and learned new ways to use my exercise Photo 2ball. Who knew that the night would be an exercise learning lesson.

Tips for attending the Talking Stick Resort Arena

They did not let us in with sealed water bottles. When inside you could purchase water bottles but the vending salespeople would pour the water bottle into the large white Styrofoam cup with lid and a straw.

They did let us in with sealed candy boxes.

Another tip for anyone attending a concert is to bring earplugs. You might not need them, but better to have them. You might think you need them for the very loud speakers playing the music but really you need them for the screams from the 11-year-olds when they announce Selena Gomez.
