Chocolate Bark Adventure San Tan Valley Arizona Forever sabbatical

Peppermint chocolate bark is a delicious treat to create with family and friends during the holidays. We attended this class because we heard that M&J Chocolate Couture would be in San Tan Valley, AZ teaching.  We enjoy learning adventures and this was looked sweet. Yes, pun intended.

M&J Chocolate Couture

Thank you for M&J Chocolate Couture for organizing the class and bringing samples. If they are in your area, I suggest attending. Not only did I learn how to make a variety of chocolate barks, but they also shared great baking tips too.

Baking Tips

Did you know it is helpful to tape down the parchment paper to the surface (cutting board in this lesson)? So that the paper does not slide off. Can you imagine finally getting the chocolate to correct temperature for the 3rd time because you burned it the other 2 times and then the chocolate falls on the floor? That would be horrible.

106 degrees F is okay but 110 degrees F will burn the chocolate.

Did you know that it is best to tap the chocolate to remove any air bubbles?

The brand of chocolate one uses matters. You will have to take the class to learn why.

The bark can take 5 to 6 hours to set up. Therefore you need to have patience.

Samples

Besides a wonderful cooking lesson, I think the best part was sampling the different chocolate barks that M&J Chocolate Couture brought. I stayed after class to have seconds and it was amazing.

Don’t worry; I did not forget to take a photo of the recipe.

I learned that making chocolate bark is not hard; however, I can simply purchase it from M&J Chocolate Couture. What did you learn from this class and the notes I shared above?
