We have been doing many outdoor activities this month in this Arizona heat. We decided to find an indoor air-conditioned activity. Lucky for us, we found a studio that helps couples create wood sign art. The studio company also travels to different locations. We found them at an air-conditioned location near us!
Couples Art Workshop
If you are looking for a simple craft that you both can create together, I suggest a wood sign workshop.
When we arrived there were many other couples in different phases of the process. The instructor was great and took time with each couple to explain what was next for them. Therefore she started from the top for us and did the same for many other couples who can in after us.
Supplies
The company brings all the supplies: the wood base for you to create art on, stencils and templates. There was different colored paint. The scrapers and toothpicks are in a bag and given to each couple. They even brought plastic gloves, for when you are working with the wood stain; to avoid getting the stain on your hands.
Teamwork
It was fun to work together with Hunter. We were hands-on for each phase. There were times when we got to work together to complete a step. I felt like Debbi Moore in the movie Ghost when Patrick Swayze and Debbi work on the clay pot together.

From start to finish was about 45mins.
