A travel expo is a wonderful place to learn all the options available to you when choosing your next vacation. Cruise Planners – Arizona Cruise and Travel hosted a mini travel expo in February and I was glad to be invited. Are you one to ask a lot of questions to see what all the activities and amenities there are? I am. Let us share the fun travel companies that attended this expo.
Royal Caribbean
We have not been on a Royal Caribbean cruise yet, so I asked a lot of questions. I learned that they have an island with awesome amenities like water slides! Did you know on their boats there is a Flowrider machine? If you are not familiar with the Flowrider, it allows you to surf to a constant wave. Many years ago I took Flowrider lessons at a local Arizona school. I am excited to test out my skills.
Sandals Resorts
Back a few years, we visited a Sandals Resort in the Bahamas. It was our first out of country vacation together. I loved that it was all-inclusive. We did not have to worry about losing our wallets in the ocean because we left it behind in the room. We also appreciated that the resort was adults only. It was great to relax by the pool.
AmaWaterways River Cruising
You might remember reading about AmaWaterways River Cruising a while back when I attended an informational meeting. It was great to reconnect with AmaWaterways River Cruising at this event. I like that the line has Holiday Themed Cruises.
Carnival Cruise
Many years ago for my birthday we went on a Carnival Cruise and had a nice time. When I was chatting with the representative I learned that there are Serenity Adults Only areas on the boats. She also shared that there is Sky Ride, a ride where you are above everyone on the boat. That is a ride I would like to experience.
Travel Expo Prizes and Discounts
I love contests and drawings. Do you enter into every contest when you visit a travel expo? I do, why not. Bonus: my number was drawn and I won an awesome bag with a beach ball and other swag from Royal Caribbean.

Tip: When visiting a travel expo ask the booth representative if there are any specials for booking during the expo. Then contact you a favorite travel agent and book your next vacation.
Ribbon Cutting
Richard and Kirstin are the owners of Cruise Planners – Arizona Cruise and Travel. On this day they had their ribbon cutting for their new location in Gilbert, Arizona. The Gilbert Chamber of Commerce was there to support the grand opening.
Travel Expo
I enjoy travel expos, large and small. This mini travel expo was nice because I felt like I could talk to the representatives at the booths. There was no rush to get to the next booth. Do you like large or small travel expos?
Congrats on winning a prize! I agree the smaller venues are more relaxing and fun.
I agree it gives more time to talk to the representatives.
I’ve never been to a travel expo. Looks like a good experience. My hubby tried the flow rider. It’s hard to master!
Good for him for trying it. I trust he would do it again.
Gilbert is such a cool town! It doesn’t surprise me at all they had a great little event! Very cooL!
Yes, they did a great job.
Looks like fun! Congrats on the prize~!
Thank you
Fun! I love visiting a travel expo of any kind – it’s always fun to dream of future trips.
I agree.
What a great experience! I can’t wait to attend a travel expo. Congratulation on winning a prize!
Thank you!
I love events like this! How nice to have something like this at such a small scale too instead of a huge convention center with traffic and too many people. Right up my alley!
The parking was simple too. We did not have to park a half a mile away. LOL
I just went to my first travel expo a few weeks ago. I will be on the hunt for more in my area once life gets back to normal.
That is great. I trust you learned alot.
PRIZES?! Yes please! I have only been to a large expo where I was exhausted by the end. ha!
Yes, the larger ones take wear one out.
I hope to attend one late this year. We did a Rhine River cruise last Fall with Adventures by Disney. They have a partnership with Amawaterways. It was beautiful.
That is fantastic. Amawaterways boats look beautiful
I have always wanted to go to a travel expo, but still haven’t had a chance to do so. This looks like such a fun event…and winning a prize makes it that much better! I really have to do some research and see what travel expos we have here in Texas. Thanks for sharing! 🙂
You are welcome.
This looks like a great event to learn all of your options!
Yes
Sounds like the perfect way to get some travel inspiration and love that you can talk directly with the travel consultants.
Exactly.
I’m waiting to go to our next travel expo.
So fun that you won a swag bag! I’ve never been to a travel expo, but it looks like there is a lot to learn about at one! Thanks for sharing!
The beach ball is a great reminder of the beach.
I love these smaller expos. I feel it’s a little less crazy and more personal!
I completely agree.
I can see how it’s efficient to attend a travel expo and shop around for trips
It was nice to ask the reps questions.
I’ve never been to a travel expo. I need to go to one, I am terrible at planning!
Can you really save a lot of money booking a trip at an Expo? I’ve never been to a travel expo before but if so, I might go to the next one I find.
They usually have great deals when you “buy now” 🙂
This looks so fun and makes me want to make attending a travel expo a priority!
I’ve never been to a travel expo but seems like a great idea! I’ll have to see what one is being hosted near me!
