Every great Pirate Pool Party starts with an “Ahoy Matey!” When was the last time you put a plastic sword in your belt and walked with a snarl on your face prepared to fight with any pirate that might walk in your path? Well, Hunter and I had each other backs and no one challenged us to a sword fight. Yet we had an amazing time sharing Pirate jokes and dancing. Take a look at the festivities.
DJ Music
A pool party must have an amazing DJ and a dance floor. We learned many songs have lyrics with the word “rum” and we had an opportunity to listen to each one. The crowd was fun and energetic having a Jolly Roger good time.
Costume Contest
The costumes that people came up with were fantastic. The contests for the best-dressed buccaneers. Two categories of contestants – the first was for contestants in pairs and the second group was for singles.
No walking the plank was needed, however, each constant pulled out a “Pirate” phrase from a barrel and in their best Pirate voice said the phrase to the crowd. Hunter and I survived round 1 and made it to the final round where we each got to perform our best “RGGGGG” for the crowd. We did not win the final prize but we did make the crowd laugh.
Rum!!!
You did not think I would forget to talk about the RUM, did you? No worry there was plenty of rum for everyone. A Rum distributor was on site to educate us about different types of rums. They also shared which ones to mix and which ones to sip.
Every good pirate should test the Run Drinks Specials and we did.
Black Pearl – dark rum, blue curacao, cranberry juice, grenadine, and soda water
Pirate Red – spiced rum, cranberry juice, lime, aand grenadine
Pirate Booty
There were food options available and “Pirate Booty”. This popcorn is funny and very festive.
Pirate Pool Party
The Pirate Pool Party was a blast. It was great to see so many people in costume and dancing on the dance floor. Would you dress up in costume for a Pirate Pool Party?
