Line Dance Party – Top 6 Must-Have

Line Dance Party Top 6 Must-Have main Forever sabbatical

When was the last time you attended a Line Dance Party? This last week I had a blast line dancing. Hunter decided to let me have all the fun at this event. Here are the top 6 must-have for an awesome Line Dance Party.

#6 Energy for the Line Dance

This line dance party was pot luck. It is great when everyone brings something to share. You get to try new foods. I will admit that I am very good at purchasing premade desserts from the store and bringing them to a party. Do you bake?

#5 Beverages

Non- alcoholic and alcoholic beverages are great. When I am dancing I am a pure water drinker. This is so that I do not step on anyone’s toes or fall from spinning around. I was grateful the venue kept the water well stocked.

#4 Comfortable Footwear

This is more for the party goes to bring. I wore sneakers. The floor was tile and smooth to slide on. If it was a wood floor I would have worn cowboy boots. As sneakers do not slide well on wood floors.

#3 Speakers

Everyone needs to be able to hear the music, therefore speakers are important. I spoke with the host and she said in the past they did not have big speakers. Those events were harder for the dancers because they could not hear it. Keeping with the beat is important.

#2 Music

You can’t dance without music. You can have a DJ, a computer mix, or a cell phone mix. It is great these days to have so many devices to hold music. The DJ at this event would play a few line dance songs and then give us a break with a few non-line dance songs. I appreciated the breaks because I was tired after each set.

The host was fantastic because she would call out the step for every song through the entire song. That is talent. Do you remember last week’s blog and the line dance class? This event was hosted by one of the instructors from that event.

#1 Dancers

Last but not least is the dancers. It would not be much of a party if no one danced. This crowd was full of dancers. I enjoyed hearing all the laughing and seeing the joy on the dancers’ faces after each song. You could tell they were having fun. I know I was.

  1. I don’t bake much these days. My daughter loves to bake. She’s into cake decorating and does a lot of the family cakes. This week is my grandson’s baptism cake.

  2. This looks so fun! We have a country bar around here that does line dancing, but Ive never been to a line dancing party! Nice.

  3. I love the potluck food theme. I do bake, it sort of a necessity since it’s so expensive to buy gluten-free cakes and pies. I agree with you on the water instead of alcohol but I would have still worn my cowgirl boots. It looks like you had a great time.

  4. Great suggestions for a fun line-dancing night. My go-to would be the food for sure. Gotta keep that energy up!

  5. Line dancing looks so fun. I am always intimidated though but I love to watch from the sidelines.

  6. Sounds like a fun party!I use to country dance all the time but now my husband is not a fan!

  7. This sounds like a lot of fun! My husband is a DJ, and he would be good for this. What a great way to spend an evening!

  8. This sounds like such a good time. You did a great job detailing everything necessary to have a great line dance party!

  9. Comfy shoes are a priority for everything! If my feet are not comfy I am miserable. Great tips.

    1. You could dance bare foot too. There is a lady who likes the feel of the dance floor under her bare feet.
